New to vegan protein powders?
If you’re new to using vegan protein powders or looking to try something new, you may want to consider picking up a container of this version from Natural Factors. I stopped using protein powders for a while because I found the flavour too sweet after trying a few brands and stuck to incorporating complete proteins in my meal. I then found this version at Healthy Planet about six months ago and haven’t used anything else since. It serves a high amount of protein, it’s gluten-free and lends itself to shakes, protein pancakes and my morning oats. Though I haven’t tried the chocolate flavour I still 100% recommend trying this brand – it’s definitely good quality and worth the price.
Vegan coffee protein shake
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1 cup soy milk
- 1 cup cold coffee
- 1/2 banana, chopped
- 1 scoop plant-based protein powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- 1 tbsp walnut pieces
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Add all ingredients (preferably in that order) to a blender or large cup made for mixing and blend to an even consistency.
- Top with additional cacao nibs and enjoy.
